Main menu - View - New file container tab

In FreeCommander a file container is a file, that contains links to many other files and/or folders. A file container can be opened in an other panel like a folder. Example: all favorite pictures (separately stored in individual folders) can be shown, as if they would be stored in one folder, the file container.

Activating the main menu item "View → New file container tab" creates a new file container tab, that holds a new temporary file container.

Definition and management of file containers are described in chapter "File container".

Where file containers are store and if they are deleted on closing FreeCommander, can be defined under the tab "File Container Tab" of the main menu item "Tools → Settings → View → Folder tabs".

The options to edit the items of a file container are described in chapter "Overview of the user interface → Tab area with tabs → File containers".
