After activating the main menu item "View → Only selected files" or the shortcut "Ctrl+S", in the active tab of the active panel all folders are shown, but only the selected files. After activating this view option again, all files are shown again.

That one of the view options ("Only selected files" or "Only selected items") is active, can be shown by highlighting the background color of the panel. This can be defined in the tab "Color/font" of the main menu item "Tools → Settings → View → File/folder list".
