Tools - Settings - View - File/folder list -
Tab Refresh

Under "Tools → Settings → View → File/folder list" in the tab "Refresh" the user can define when and how the view should be refreshed in FreeCommander.

Auto refresh for general changes (create, delete, rename)

If this setting is checked, the view is refreshed automatically after general changes (e.g. create, delete, or rename files and folders)

Auto refresh for other changes (size, date, attribute)

If this setting is checked, the view is refreshed automatically after the following changes:

  • Change of size
  • Change of timestamp
  • Change of attributes

This option causes refreshing more often than for general changes.

Add new items at the end of the list

If this setting is checked, new items are added at the bottom of the list instead of being sorted immediately.

Ignore auto refresh if FreeCommander is inactive

If this setting is checked, the view is not automatically refreshed if FreeCommander is inactive (e.g. minimized).

Refresh when FreeCommander is activated

If this setting is checked, the view is automatically refreshed when FreeCommander is activated (e.g. from a minimized state).

Ignore these drives for auto refresh:

The view of drives whose drive letter is listed here is not automatically refreshed.

Examples: Enter "g,k" to ignore the auto refresh of drives "g:" and "k:".

Enter "UNC" to ignore the auto refresh of all UNC drives.
