Overview of the user interface - Address bar-actions toolbar


The "Address bar - actions toolbar" is shown at the right border of the address bar.

Modifying the Address bar - actions toolbar

Under the dialog "Customize toolbars" buttons (icons) can be assigned to the toolbar "Address". The "Address bar - actions toolbar" is shown, if it is checked in the list of toolbars in this dialog.

This dialog can be activated with the following menu items:

  • "Tools → Customize toolbars..."
  • "Customize toolbars..." in the context menu that is shown after right-clicking the "Address bar - actions toolbar".

Buttons of the Address bar - actions toolbar

The most common buttons in the address bar are:

  • History
    After activating the button or the shortcut "Alt+↓" a menu with the folders recently opened in the active tab and the menu item "Clear history" is opened. See also: "Clicking the free space of the address bar"
  • Favorite folders
    After activating the button or the shortcut "Alt+↑" the main menu item "Favorites" is opened as a pop up menu. See main menu item "Favorites".
  • Go up
    After activating the button the next higher folder (related to the active folder in the active tab) is opened.
  • Root
    After activating the button or the shortcut "Ctrl+Home" the root (main folder) of the active drive in the active tab is opened in the active tab.
  • Copy full path as text
    After activating the button or the shortcut "Ctrl+Alt+Ins" the name of the actual path is copied to the clipboard.
    After activating the button (behind the button ) a menu is shown, offering more options to copy the folder path, file path or file name to the clipboard.


After activation of a menu item or the corresponding shortcut the corresponding text is copied to the clipboard. See "Main menu → Edit → Copy to clipboard".
