Overview of the user interface - Main splitter

If two panels are shown in the FreeCommander main window (see "View → Dual/one panel"), an area (the main splitter) is shown between the two panels containing:

    • Main window splitter
Moving this double line (splitter) changes the proportions of the two panels to each other.
If the cursor is over the double line, the cursor is shown as "←ǁ→". Dragging the line scales one panel up and the other panel correspondingly down.
Under the main menu item "Tools → Settings → View" the main splitter can be configured.
    • Splitter toolbar
The main splitter contains the icons (buttons) of the "Splitter toolbar". Under the menu item "Tools → Customize toolbars..." the buttons can be assigned to the splitter toolbar. If the "Splitter toolbar" is checked there, it is enlarged and the icons assigned there are shown. If the "Splitter toolbar" is shown and under "Tools → Customize action toolbars → splitter toolbar" the option "Shown basket icon" is checked, the Windows button "Recycle bin" is shown at the end of the bar. Right-clicking the "Recycle bin" opens the Windows standard menu "Recycle bin".

The position of the main splitter in the main window is shown in chapter "Overview of the user interface".
