Probably you don't need to do anything because (as far as I know) FC-XE keeps its settings separately from FC2009. In other words, you can have both versions installed at the same time, each with their own separate settings. Then you can update FC-XE anytime you want, and it should carry over your existing FC-XE settings.prr wrote:I'd like to save all my settings/toolbar icons etc.

To answer your question specifically, just save a copy of your FC-XE settings folder. You can find its location in Help > About, then look in the Paths section.
